3rd Degree for Miss Thornhill
We are proud to announce the promotion of our highest ranking student to date, Miss Shona Thornhill, who was promoted to Third Degree Black Belt.
The Black Belt Academy is Ten Years Old!
On September 3rd 1995, the then-named Dursley School of Taekwondo held it's very first class in Dursley.
Of that first class, many of our students from that very first class went on to become Black Belts, with several rising through the ranks including second and third degree Black Belts who are still training hard today.
Ten years on the school is now the #1 choice for martial arts in the area with students travelling from as far away as Stroud, Wotton, Avening etc.
On Friday 30th September we will have our quarterly graduation evening. This time, as a small celebration, we have decided to make this month’s event a very special one, bigger and better than ever before and to accomodate all our visitors (and pay a little homage to that first demo) we are holding the event at the Lister Hall in Dursley.
We’ve got plenty of room so please, invite all your family and friends along too. We will have a demonstration from some of our senior members as well so it should be a great evening for the whole family.
