Black Belt Academy
to take on a
Training Marathon in aid of local Hospice Sunday 30th November The Black Belt Academy will be holding a SPONSORED TRAINING MARATHON In aid of the Cotswold Care Hospice at Minchinhampton. We are planning to complete 101 rounds of continuous sparring. To put that into perspective, a professional boxing match is normally 12 rounds! One of our former Black Belt members Kathy Lane works at Cotswold Care, and I can personally vouch for the fantastic job they do as my Grandmother used to visit them herself many years ago. The hospice needs over £750,000 per year just to break even and yet they only receive £80,000 from the government, therefore they need to raise over £670,000 every year from voluntary contrubutions. Let's do our very best to help them out! "We
are so grateful to Master Olpin and all of his fellow Martial Artists
for striking a blow against the £750,000 target Cotswold Care Hospice
needs to provide free care to those who need it most in our community."
"Good
Luck to the Black Belt Academy - They really work hard at their training
sessions and I'm sure that raising much needed funds for the Cotswold
Care Hospice will motivate them all even more..!" If anyone would like to support the event, either through sponsoring the team, or by helping on the day then please contact Richard Olpin for further details. Sponsor forms are also available at Bunters Café in Dursley. "It's
not just about Kicking, (Cotswold Care is a Registered Charity #298627) |
