At the Academy our junior students have all been getting pretty excited about the new 'Karate Kid' film which is released next week at the cinema, it seems to causing quite a buzz amongst our students so we decided to hold a little competition within the school where the children could enter their martial arts themed photos and pictures and potentially win a family ticket to go and see the film.

Clearly the excitement has spread among lots of their friends too as we've had lots of enquiries about classes as a direct result of the film and so we thought we'd try & do something to say thanks for all your support and to maybe encourage others to see how great the martial arts are too.

A MONTH OF FREE CLASSES FOR EVERYONE!

Firstly, everyone who calls or emails us and mentions the Karate Kid film is going to get a free month of classes at the Academy - yes, that's right, no catch, a totally free month of classes - we really just want to share the martial arts with anyone who wants to give it a try!

Second, everyone who enquires gets entered into a raffle and the prize is going to be a full beginners membership at my school, that's a years worth of training, completely free. I'll even give them their uniform.

I've personally got so much from the martial arts over the years, and the original Karate Kid film back in the 1980's played a big part in that so I'd love to see a whole new generation of kids (and hey, adults too, they're just big kids with jobs!) get inspired to try the martial arts for themselves. Wouldn't that be awesome!
